The English B course at fourth form level serves as the continuation to skills and aptitudes acquired during third form.   Students will be required to cover a range of literature from plays, to prose to poetry.   

Through the completion of this course students will be able to explore how writers, poets and dramatists craft their work to influence the readers' feelings and thoughts about life. Students will be stimulated to peer into the mirror of shared psychological and social realities through the appreciation and acquisition of knowledge on historical, current or future events. This exposure is expected to assist students in creating national and personal identities creating a heightened sense of appreciation for the commonalities and differences in our human experience. Furthermore, students will acquire skills which will enable them to make critical evaluations of the literary characters and situations presented.
